For people who want to reminisce on the throne change and like to cycle through beautiful nature, Reis-idee has organised an “orange” bike ride. You will cycle with your own company and in your own pace, with a detailed description and map at hand. The ride starts in Hilversum and passes Drakensteyn castle, where Willem-Alexander grew up, the famous miniature Gardens in Laage Vuursche and house mice in the attic of Castle Groeneveld (also fun for children!). From Friday to Sunday you can also visit Soestdijk Palace. Tip: The photo exhibition at Soestdijk (ending 30 June): A Modern Royal Family through the lens of Robin Utrecht.
It costs € 15.00 p.p. for:
• Coffee and cake at the start
• Detailed directions
• Drinks with Royale snacks at the finish
• Voucher for a nicely priced “Orange meal” at ‘De Jonghe Graef van Buuren’
€ 5.00 per cyclist is donated to the Bike4Work project in Uganda. For more information and booking visit the website of Reis-idee (Dutch).
