The Bike4Work group in Bugiri, Uganda, has been awarded bicycles on credit in July. The bicycles are being paid off very well. The members of the group emphasise how the bicycles have enriched their lives. Most participants are farmers, particularly women. They use the bicycle to cycle to their plot, to transport crops to the market and to fetch water for their families and animals. The children of some participants use the bicycles to cycle to school. The group makes less use of public transport, which saves them a lot of money. This makes it easy to pay off the bicycle.
