On July 20th, 2012 a ceremony was held in Kumi Uganda, whereby the Bike4Care programme was officially launched. The launch was attended by over 600 people. All Village Health Teams and Community Based Trainers were present. Present were the Local Council V, III and I Chairpersons, District Health Officers of both Districts, the District Health Educators, District Health Assistants, the Community Development Officers and the communities at large. During the ceremony 108 health workers were officially handed over a bicycle, to enable them to improve their work. This programme is sponsored by Bernard van Leer foundation.
