With support from the Bernard van Leer foundation, 400 health care workers in 3 rural provinces of Uganda are going to be equipped with bicycles. This phase was planned for May, June and July, but on request of the districts this phase was pushed forward to deliver the bicycles to all districts in April. Thanks to great organisational skills and hard work of our partner organisation BSPW, all bicycles have been delivered in boxes to the three central locations in time. The bicycles will be assembled in the following months. For more information about this Bike4Care project, click here.
