Apac is the second district in Uganda where youngsters have been trained to be bicycle mechanics. They worked with a bicycle mechanic handbook developed for the occasion. The trainings were held in the villages Nambiyeso and Chegere, were resp. 6 and 5 mechanics successfully completed the course. The mechanics are now able and equipped to set up a bicycle business. They will help the 168 village health workers who will be using a bicycle for their work later this year. For more information about the bicycle mechanics, click here.
