In this Bike4Care project, community health workers in Africa are being equipped with modified bicycles for health checks, emergency visits and counselling and isolated communities are being equipped with bicycles plus bicycle ambulance trailers for better access to health centers. The intervention will improve the capacity of health workers and the opportunity to visit more patients by increasing the capture area and speed. The intervention also provides a fast and efficient first aid emergency transport system. Aim of the Bike4Care intervention is to improve accessibility to proper health care and health counselling for isolated communities in Nyanza Counties, Kenya by providing bicycles and bicycle ambulances.
