CooP-Africa has provided 60 bicycles to farmers in a new project location ‘Gakomeye’ in Rwanda . The men and women who have received a bicycle have been making their own plan of how to pay off the bike. On the 5th of January this year the beneficiaries have attended a training on microfinance in Rwanda. The training was aimed at paying off the bike, but since microfinance is a new concept, it was wider viewed and explained. On the 14th of January the future bike owners came together for a training on repairing and maintaining of the bicycle and preventing damage to the bike. On the 21st of January during a ceremony the bikes were presented. The bikes will mainly be used by farmers to transport goods to the market.
