To improve the economic situation of poor but economical active families, Cycling out of Poverty implements the BIKE4WORK concept in Nairobi. This concept will be focussing on making (custom-made) bicycles available and affordable for small entrepreneurs and casual workers. Results of these programmes are economical growth (by saving on transport costs, increased income, job diversification, etc.), more stable families where children could go to school and proper health care is accessible. And due to economical independence and the possibility to do more social activities the households will be more peaceful.
• Target group: small entrepreneurs and workers
• Period: Since 2011
• Supported by: private donors
• Local partner organisation: private companies (such as Spinners&Spinners ltd.)
